This page explains which cookies brunofrancesco.it uses, what they are for and how you can manage your choices. It complements the Privacy Policy, where you can find who the data controller is and what your rights are. It is a translation of the Italian version, which prevails in case of doubt.
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. They make the site work, remember your choices and, in some cases, collect statistics or show you targeted advertising. There are also similar tools, such as the browser’s local storage. On this page I call them all cookies.
Today brunofrancesco.it only uses technical cookies, meaning the ones needed to make the site work and to remember your language and cookie preferences. I do not use profiling cookies, I do not use Google Analytics or other statistics tools and I do not load social buttons, videos or maps from other services. Fonts are also hosted on my server, so opening a page does not send data to Google Fonts.
Technical cookies do not require your consent, as provided by Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority of 10 June 2021. The banner stays active for transparency and because, if I add statistics or marketing tools in the future, they will only run after you give your consent.
They are all first party cookies, created by brunofrancesco.it and saved in your browser. None of them is read by external services.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| pll_language | Remembers the language you are browsing in, Italian or English. | 1 year |
| cmplz_banner-status | Remembers that you already answered the banner, so it does not appear on every page. | 1 year |
| cmplz_functional cmplz_preferences cmplz_statistics cmplz_marketing | Remember the choice you made for each cookie category. | 1 year |
| cmplz_consented_services | Remembers any external services you accepted one by one. The site does not use any today, so it stays empty. | 1 year |
| cmplz_policy_id | Remembers which version of this page your choice refers to, so if the page changes I can ask for your consent again. | 1 year |
If you log in to the admin area, WordPress also uses some technical authentication cookies, such as those starting with wordpress_logged_in. They only concern whoever manages the site, not visitors.
On your first visit a banner lets you accept, reject or open the preferences and choose category by category. Closing the banner with the X counts as rejecting, and in that case only technical cookies stay active. Categories other than technical cookies stay off until you turn them on.
If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, the site treats it as a rejection and does not show you the banner.
Your choice is saved in the cookies listed above, directly in your browser. I do not keep a consent log and your choice is not sent to external services.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page or with this button.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Here are the instructions for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. If you also block technical cookies, some parts of the site may not work as expected.
The banner is run by Complianz, a WordPress plugin developed by Complianz B.V., a company based in the Netherlands. The plugin works on the site server, so it does not send your data or your choices to Complianz or anyone else.
If the cookies used by the site change, I update this page and the date at the top. If I add cookies that require consent, I will ask you again.
For any question about cookies you can write to me at info@brunofrancesco.it.
